Crochet Backpack

It was a gift project for my Grandson and I wanted it to be a unique one.

When he finally got it; he  kept dancing for a while shouting,I love it..I love it..thank you Grandma.

 

Front Side In burned orange yarns, ch6 join with sl st in first ch(or do a magic ring) I preferred the magic ring to not leaving any hole when tighten the yarn.
 round 1  in ch6  ring or in a magic ring, work,ch3(counts as 1st dc),17dc, join with sl st in first dc(18).
 round2  sc in each st of round1, join with sl st in first sc(18).
 round3  ch3(counts as first dc),dc in same stitch.work 2dc in each st all around join with sl st in first dc(36).
 round4  ch1(counts as first sc) sc in each st all around, join with sl st in first dc(36).
 round5  ch3(counts as first dc), *2dc , dc*in next two stitches rep from * to * all around join with sl st in first dc (54).
 round6  ch1( counts as first sc), sc in each st all around(54).
 round7  ch3(counts as first dc), *2dc , dc*in next two stitches rep from * to * all around join with sl st in first dc(81).
 round8  ch1,sc in each dc all around(81).
 round9  ch3(counts as first dc), *2dc , dc*in next two stitches rep from * to * all around join with sl st in first dc(121).
round10  ch1, sc in each dc all around join with sl st in the first sc(121).
 round11  ch3(counts as first dc), *2dc , dc*in next two stitches rep from * to * all around join with sl st in first dc(181).

Nose in black Yarns, ch4 join with sl st in first ch(or do a magic ring) I preferred the magic ring to not leaving any hole when tighten the yarn.

round2,3 sc in each stitch all around join with sl st in first sc(16).Fasten off leave a tail for sewing.
Muzzle  In Yellow ch4 join with sl st in first ch(or do a magic ring) I preferred the magic ring to not leaving any hole when tighten the yarn.

  Muzzle Finishing  Add the nose to the muzzle and add the muzzle to the face as shown in the picture before closing fill with stuffing materials until it is about  3/4 inch thick, sew the opening and secure the thread.
 Tong  in red, ch12.
 round1  dc in the 3rd ch from the hook,dc in th,5th,6th,8th,9th,10th
round2  7dc in the 11th stitch,dc in the other side of the 10th stitch,dc in all stitches till the end fasten off cut thread leave a tail for sewing.
 Tong Finishing Add the Tong to the base of the nose. Cut and secure the thread.
 Eyes  in black,ch4 join with sl st in first ch(or do a magic ring) I preferred the magic ring to not leaving any hole when tighten the yarn.
 round1  ch3 (counts as first dc),15dc , join with sl st in first dc.fasten off,cut yarn leave a tail for sewing.
 round2  in white,sc in each stitch all around join with sl st in first sc (16).
 round3  ch3 (counts as first dc),15dc , join with sl st in first dc (32).
 round4  sc in each stitch all around join with sl st in first sc (32).fasten off and cut yarn leave a tail for sewing.
 Eyes finishing  Add the two eyes to the face as shown in the picture, leave opening  to stuff a little bit then sew to close the opening. Cut and secure the thread .
 Ears  Make two in Navy and two in Maroon . Cast on 11 chain.

round 15 ch1,2sc tog.scin next 10 stitches,2sc tog, sc in the next 10 stitches 2sc tog (20).
Ears Finishing Sew together  one navy  piece to a Maroon  one. Stuff and close the opening by sewing. Fold two sides half way to the center, do the same to the other two pieces , and sew  them to the sides of the head .
 Straps  In navy(make two), ch11, sc in the 2nd stitch from the hook ,sc in all stitches to the end(10).
 round 1  ch1,sc in each stitch (10).
 round 2-48  ch1,sc in each stitch(10).
 Straps Finishing  Sew down the Two straps to the back head piece as shown in the picture.
 Backpack Finishing In black thread, add embroidery all around the two Eyes. Add the mustache lines from down nose to the Muzzle edge as shown in the picture. Pin the two head pieces, sew them together leave at the top an 8 inches zipper opening.Turn it over to the right side and sew  the zipper at the opening   you left.
